IFIP/Sec 2004 is organized by IFIP TC-11 (Technical Committee on Security & Protection in Information Processing Systems www.ifip.tu-graz.ac.at/TC11) with the support of SEE (Soci%/1iso8859-15t%/1iso8859-15 de l'Electricit%/1iso8859-15, l'Electronique, et les Technologies de l'Information et de la Communication, www.see.asso.fr). Conference Scope Papers offering novel research contributions in any aspect of computer security are solicited for submission to the 19th IFIP International Information Security Conference. Papers may present theory, applications or practical experiences on topics including, but not limited to: - Accounting and auditing - Multilateral security - Authentication - Data and system integrity - Data protection - Authorization and access control - Privacy, Anonymity - Security models and architectures - Computer Forensics - Risk analysis and risk management - Internet and www security - Secure e-government - Information hiding - e-business/e-commerce security - Information security - Secure information systems development - Intrusion detection - Security management - Assurance - Security verification - Key management - Commercial and industrial security - Security policies - Mobility and ubiquitous systems - DRM & Content Protection - Information warfare and Critical Infrastructure Protection A special track is dedicated to "Security and Control of IT in Society". Instructions for Paper Submission Submitted papers must be original, unpublished, and not submitted to another conference or journal for consideration of publication. Papers must be written in English; they should be at most 16 pages long in total, including bibliography and well-marked appendices. The paper should be intelligible without its appendices. Accepted papers will be presented at the conference and published in the conference proceedings, by Kluwer Academic Publishers. At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register with the conference and present the paper. Abstract and papers must be submitted in electronic form through the web to www.sec2004.org. All submissions will be acknowledged by e-mail. If you have not received an acknowledgement within 72 hours of submitting your paper or abstract, please contact sec-submission@wcc2004.org. To submit a paper, you must first submit an abstract by February 9, 2004. After abstract sub-missions, the contact author will receive a paper number by e-mail. Using this paper number, you must then submit the full paper by February 16, 2004, by uploading the corresponding PDF or PostScript file (these are the only accepted formats), which should follow the templates or style files indicated by the pu-b-li-sher (www.wkap.com/ifip/styles). Please preview the manuscript in a viewer to ensure its integrity before submitting. Make sure you visually check uncommon fonts, symbols, equations, etc. A defective print can undermine your chances of success. Papers submitted after February 16, 2004, or for which no abstract has been timely received, will be discarded without review.
